Windy City Sailing
Anchors away! This unique sailing adventure is a Chicago favorite. Enjoy the company of fellow guests for a cruise aboard the TALL Ship WINDY! The WINDY is a 148-foot traditional four-masted gaff topsail schooner and a Class “B” Tall Ship. Built of modern materials, but like the old trading schooners and sail training ships, the WINDY has all the character and charm of the great days of sail. It is silently pushed by the winds once its sails are set and engines turned off. Departing from historic Navy Pier, this is one of the most exciting yet relaxing ways to spend an afternoon. Segway Around Chicago

Devil in the White City Tour & Chicago History Museum

Hear stories and learn of the comparison of two powerful figures, one doing civic good will and the other a psychotic killer. Relive these events by visiting the original site4s of the world's fair grounds including a stop at the Wooded Island designed by Fredrick Law Olmsted and a visit to the Osaka Gardens.
Your tour will travel the Midway Plaisance where the tallest Ferris Wheel once stood. See the Palace of Fine Arts, the only remaining building from the Columbian Exposition and make a short stop at the replica of the Statue of the Republic, a great photo opportunity. Your guide will narrate and point out significant buildings and sites of the 1893 Fair along the way. Chicago Food Depository

Consider spending a few hours of your time in Chicago giving back to the local community through volunteering. Hunger continues to be a pervasive issue throughout the United States. The Greater Chicago Food Depository distributes more than 40 million pounds of food through its network of 600 agencies. You’ll visit to one of the largest food depositories in the country, spend time working on various assembly and sorting projects and have fun with fellow volunteers.

Chicago Cares Activity - Chicago Public Schools

Consider spending a few hours of your time in Chicago giving back to the local community through volunteering. Chicago Cares creates and manages unique volunteer experiences to help combat many of the Chicago community’s most urgent needs, including helping meet the most pressing needs in education. You’ll work at a Chicago Public School and provide much-needed services that might include: transforming bland spaces into vibrant ones with a fresh coat of paint; creating bright and colorful murals; planting flowers and creating landscapes to beautify the school; or building planter benches or bookshelves.
